Empowering people

It’s hard to create a new life with no self-esteem

Many people in the justice system experienced a chaotic lifestyle before sentencing – a life without role models, structure or support that so many of us take for granted. We’re here to help them develop the skills they need to reintegrate into society.

When people want to change their lives and contribute positively to their community, our job is to empower them to do just that. Because this benefits everyone and can help create a knock-on effect.

Bringing softer skills to the surface

Building confidence doesn’t come overnight. Things like feeling comfortable making phone calls, staying calm in frustrating situations and using the right tone and language with people all take patience and practice.

We’re here to ensure as many people as possible have someone by their side for things like registering with a dentist, GP and other healthcare providers. This can also mean going with them to appointments to help reassure them of what to expect.
