Continual learning

Seeing knowledge in a whole new light

Everyone’s learning journey is different. Some adults may have no formal education, and others may find it difficult due to being neurodivergent. Adverse childhood experiences and a lack of confidence in literacy and numeracy can also be significant barriers.

Creating a clear pathway for each person is crucial. We can start by exploring their interests and putting a plan in place to achieve the necessary skills and/or qualifications to make their hopes become a reality.

Creating a safe space to learn

We’re always mindful of the environment in which we ask people to engage with our services, and staff to deliver them (many of our staff may have experience of the justice system). We diversify and respond to individual needs as much as possible.

Events and memories from peoples’ pasts may make it challenging for them to learn effectively, and we’re not here to judge. We can signpost to volunteering and other opportunities so anyone who wants to take a positive step forward can do so in a safe and supported way.
