This course provides an ideal approach to safer and more effective manual handling, not only meeting HSE recommendations, but also promoting good and safe practices in any situation. The regulations require employers to provide their employees with health and safety information and training – supplemented, as necessary, with a more specific focus on  manual handling, injury risks and prevention.

The course includes:

• Understanding the reasons for safe manual handling
• Learning how manual handling risk assessments contribute to improving health and safety
• Understanding the principles, types of equipment and testing requirements associated with manual handling safety
• Being able to apply safe manual handling principles

Certification

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor, culminating in a multiple choice question paper.

This course is delivered:

Face-to-face with a maximum of 16 participants – £540.

*In addition to the cost of the course, organisations will be charged for the trainer’s travelling expenses, which are calculated at 45p per mile.
