Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
This course ensures your construction learners and employees have the basic knowledge to effectively and safely carry out their jobs. Our Level 1 (OFQUAL) Construction Qualification prepares employees entering the industry with fundamental knowledge of how to safely conduct their daily duties. This qualification can also be used alongside the CITB’s health, safety, and environment knowledge test to enable participants to apply for the Constructions Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) labourer’s card.
The course includes:
- The roles and responsibilities for health, safety, welfare and environment in the construction industry
- Different types of workplace injuries
- The identification and control of workplace hazards
- How to safely work at height
- Safe manual handling techniques
- Working safely around heavy plant and equipment
- Contractible workplace diseases and illnesses
- Health and safety terminology
Certification
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor, culminating in a multiple choice question paper.
Delivery and fees
This course is delivered:
Face-to-face with a maximum of 12 participants – £200.
*In addition to the cost of the course, organisations will be charged for the trainer’s travelling expenses, which are calculated at 45p per mile.
