Danny’s story
As a teen I was a troubled young man, I had experienced a lot of trauma and had even more issues I could not deal with as a young person.
“My experience of referring service users to Apex Scotland has consistently been positive, with joint meetings offered to ascertain specific need and support required, and good provision of updates. Individuals that I have worked with have had the opportunity to engage with employability work, use the drop-in cafes, volunteer, be involved in group work, and, for females, the SHINE women’s service has been a vital source of support. Feedback from service users has highlighted how beneficial they have found their involvement with this service. Apex Scotland is a valued partner in promoting pro-social living for those with experience of the Justice System.”

Justice Social Worker
“We work closely with Justice Services in a number of our services across Scotland. We often receive positive feedback from Social Workers who have referred to our programmes and are always delighted to hear about the meaningful impact our services have had on the individuals referred to us. At Apex Scotland, our goal is to provide tailored support that empowers individuals to overcome barriers and build a brighter future and collaboration is at the heart of what we do. It’s encouraging to know that our joint efforts—whether through employability initiatives, drop-ins, groupwork or volunteering opportunities are making a difference. We’re especially proud to hear that people have found their engagement with us beneficial and transformative.
Partnership working is vital in promoting pro-social living and fostering positive change for those with experience of the Justice System. We are thankful to those who refer to us and to those who engage with us that they trust us to play a role in this important work, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration to achieve even greater outcomes together.
